The trucks new spine has arrived!

They key to any good desert or trail truck is it's construction. Adding a roll cage adds a great deal of rigidity to the chassis and also much needed protection to the driver and passangers.

Since I am building a fairly heavy truck I opted to go with 1 3/4" .120 wall DOM tubing. DOM is a form of Mild Steel that is Drawn Over Madrel when it is formed at the mill and the results yield a very strong tube. 1 1/2" .120 wall DOM tubing will be used on the non-critical parts such as bracing and triangulation.

Let the fun begin!
