Baby Gatorades Drank: 1
Slag Burns from Plasma: 5
Frame Rails Accidentally Gouged by Plasma: 1
Day's Left to Finish Project: 21
Day 3, or shall I call it Night 3, was a short one. I got a late start and with local noise ordinances being what they are and with not wanting to anger the neighbors I had to shut down the machines by 10pm. So things went quickly.
The goal for the night was to get the templates made for plating the outside of the frame rails. To do this I used the three things most common to any garage, a Sharpie, a Razor, and the box from the latest tool I bought, which in this case happened to be some new work lights.
Creating the templates went so fast and easy that I was able to cut the plate before having to call it a night. For this I used some 1/8" steel plate and cut it out with a Plasma Cutter. Sure there are cleaner ways of cutting plate, but not many faster or easier than dragging the plasma torch across it.
Tune in tomorrow when we will hopefully finish cleaning up the plates and start welding them in place!
