Day 12
Well as you can tell by reading my quote above, I didn't get much done on the truck last night. In fact, I didn't get anything done. I was so exhausted from the nights before that when my friend called to see if I wanted to go to dinner instead, there was no question what the answer would be. So I took the night off, hung out with friend that I haven't seen in the last 12 days, and got some much needed sleep.
But alas I still have a couple of updates for today! First I went ahead and shot an overall shot of the truck. I realize I haven't shown this in a few days so here is how it looks right now. The stand in the hitch isn't supporting anything, it is just there to keep friends and family from sitting on the truck and bending something before the tubes are in.
Also my Optima Batteries showed up yesterday. I think I mentioned before that the truck is going to be running two D-34 Yellow Top Deep Cycle batteries. I snapped a photo of what it will look like when then are mounted. I'm very happy with it.
I also took the night to refill the most important tool in my garage, the Mini Fridge. If you don't have one of these in your shop, get one. I keep mine loaded with plenty of water, Gatorade, Dr. Pepper, Pepsi, and Rockstar (or Monster, whatever is on sale). There are also some Powerbars and other candy like Snickers for that energy to keep working. When I started this project I had the fridge fully stocked. By day 11 it was near empty. I got down to only 2 bottles of water, out of the 24 that I started with. So I filled it back up yesterday and it should all be nice and cold for me today when I get back to work on the truck.
Well that is all for today, until tomorrow!
