The devil is in the details, and boy does he like to take his time...

Day 25

The work that I got completed on Day 25 may look minimal, but in the grand scheme of things is huge. I made the templates for the upper shock mounts. Designing things like this can be tricky since you are dealing with so many different variables, some that are set, some that aren't, and some that are just in the way. The next step is obviously to take the templates and cut the pattern out of a plate of steel. Hopefully tomorrow I will have a more 'solid' update for you.

Also yesterday I had the last of my fuel cell plumbing figured out. The good folks over at Mesa Hose in Costa Mesa California were able to weld, well braze, a -6 AN fitting onto the stock fuel line that came off of the truck. By doing it this way I will be able to run two fuel filters (aftermarket cartridge style and stock), don't have to worry about leaking fittings elsewhere in the system, don't have to deal with the stock push-lock style fitting, don't have to run expensive braided line all the way to the engine, and it looks stock and clean. I didn't even know you could do such a thing until talking with the guys at Mesa Hose.

And lastly, you may be wondering why the photo of the coil. Well, some people have asked about coil clearance with the tube brace where it is. So here is a photo. I still have plenty of room for the coil throughout the suspensions range of motion.

That is all for today.
