4. Another reader, but if I could give some feedback... :)

With blogs, there a going to be some posts that appeal and I want to read others that I don't.

You've got the RSS subscription option which is good for me (could probably use some prominence) to pick and choose, but I'm not sure how widespread it's in the 4x4 community. You might want to consider having a 'email me new posts' as well as RSS.

You also require membership to post a comment, might be worth reconsidering if you want some engagement.

With a blog, you can't expect people to come in everyday and check what's new, so you need to let people know what you've posted.
