Sometimes, good things fall into your lap. I was in Ocotillo Wells a few weeks ago with the Total Chaos crew when I chanced to meet Rex Rajewski and his Chevy 1500.
Rex built this truck himself, right down to the suspension. Not only that, but he managed to keep it street legal in the process.
One of the biggest challenges has been keeping the stock steering rack alive, and he's employed several approaches with good success. The ultimate solution, and the next step, is to replace the stock rack with a Howe rack/ram combo.
I'll drop a few tidbits about this truck online, but I won't spill all the beans here because this truck will come out in print in a future issue of Off-Road.
