Lucas Oil Off Road Racing is Coming to Las Vegas
Corona, California (March 1, 2010) - For the first time ever, the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series is coming to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway this weekend, March 6th and 7th. This mile long, purpose built short course off road track, with its high banks and giant table top, marks the 2010 Lucas Oil Off Road Racing season opener. Returning to defend their titles, Carl Renezeder and Metal Mulisha General, Brian Deegan will face off with Carey Hart, Rob MacCachren, the LeDuc family, Rodrigo Ampudia and all of the stars of short course off road racing.
In 2009, Renezeder dominated the Pro 2 Unlimited and Pro 4 Unlimited classes while Pro Lite Unlimited was a dogfight that came down to the wire between Deegan, Chris Brandt and Rob Naughton. Now, with a host of new drivers and teams joining the series, it’s anyone’s guess on who will be standing on top at season’s end.
The famed Las Vegas Motor Speedway hosts two full days of back to back racing action. Each day will feature a variety of off road classes beginning with the stars of tomorrow racing in their off road Karts, UTV, Limited and Unlimited Pro Buggies, SuperLite Trucks, Unlimited Pro Lite and the 850 Horsepower Pro 2 and 4 Unlimited Trucks.
