A leisure Pismo Beach cruise in Project 4X4Link led us almost instantly to a golden find - a BMW M5 planted firmly on the beach's shore, with the tide teasing to swallow it up.
This type of carnage was perfect, because nobody had gotten hurt and nothing was a risk, except perhaps some BMW plastic. The first thing we did was get closer. An M5 at Pismo was something noteworthy. A beached M5 was irresistible. What sand toy wouldn't want to roost this ostentatious treasure? The next thing we did was snap a few pictures after finding a front row viewing spot. We didn't want this Kodak moment to escape. We wondered who would volunteer first to rip the front end off. The rest of the story is boring, as a Super Duty delicately resolved the M5's desperate situation and all was well in the luxury automotive world.
Dad will wonder why there happens to be a small sand dune in the driveway under the M5 the next morning, but that's a different story...
