Desolate Motorsports is among those who jumped in and helped the victims of the California 200 accident.
The Desolate crew of Greg Gilbert, Matt Carter, and Danny McKenna together with several friends and sponsors threw a California 200 benefit party.
All proceeds were donated to Fast-Aid.
Friends and customers brought an array of off-road trucks, hot rods, and custom motorcycles for display. A live band rocked the house. It was loud and crowded--exactly the way it was supposed to be.
Drinks and raffle tickets are a perfect way to raise cash, and this party had both. Raffle prizes included sets of wheels, skateboard decks, bicycles, a custom motorcycle helmet, and other cool stuff donated by an array of sponsors.
At the end of the night, Desolate auctioned off the custom bar they'd build for the occasion.
Grand total? Almost $9,000 for Fast-Aid.
To date, Fast-Aid has been the conduit for well over 100K donated to victims and their families whose lives were ended or inextricably altered by the accident at the California 200.
